Destination Wedding – Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana
When we saw these photographs shot by Montreal wedding photographer Chris Paine, we knew we had to feature them on the blog.
Many Montreal couples choose to fly to exotic locations to exchange vows, and Olivia & Wilson headed for Punta Cana on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic known for its 32km stretch of beaches and crystal clear waters.
Wilson had proposed while singing “Fly Me To The Moon” in front of their close friends and they played the song during the ceremony, which took place at the Grand Palladium at the Bavaro Resort, when the big day came around.
Olivia wore White by Vera Wang, a dress she discovered after the 2nd time of dress shopping.
Wilson wore a customized why suit from China.
For the flowers they chose Hydrangea macrophylla and their wedding cake was a 2 tier banana flavour cake.
The couple say “A destination wedding is more for a wedding not a vacation” and their advice to couples tying the knot is “Don’t be stressed, listen to you heart, communicate with your other half and his/her family. Be relaxed, maybe the wedding date is once in a life time, but the whole marriage is for a life time; don’t stress yourself out just because you want a perfect wedding. Nothing is perfect.”
Thanks a lot to Chris Paine Photography for the great images and to Olivia & Wilson for sharing their story with MTL Wedding Blog.
