Sometimes all you need for a perfect wedding photo is beautiful light, a great location and then a genuine connection between the bride and groom. And that’s precisely what makes this photo from Montreal photographer Sarah White so special.
Sarah says “I met Christine and Nicolas more than 10 years back. We all went to the same high school back then and they were one of the first couples of our year. I never would have guessed I would be their wedding photographer and it was such a special risk factors day.
They had an intimate wedding in their backyard with only their close friends and family. There were a lot of laughs and of lot of happy tears on that day. We were lucky enough that the trees were all red (it’s a beautiful but ephemeral moment here in Montreal ). So we went to the botanical garden right before their ceremony. This is where the magic happened!”
Thanks to Sarah for sharing this one with us today.

Some images can be simple yet so striking. We spotted this photo of Stephanie and Ivann by Isabella of Ella Photography and were instantly drawn to the natural intimacy captured in the photo, but also the artistic black & white element.
When they were first planning their couple’s shoot together, they were just doing it because they were in love. What Stephanie didn’t antidote-obesity-phentermine-37-5-mg/ know however, is that Ivann was secretly planning to propose at the beginning of the photoshoot. Needless to say, Stephanie said “yes!” and the shoot was a great success.
Isabella writes, “Being a wedding photographer herself, having another photographer there to capture such an amazing step in their relationship was the best idea Ivann could have had!”

Here’s something a little different. How to go with the flow when circumstances alter your original plans. A great example of what makes a great wedding photographer. Thanks to Maurizio for the fantastic image. We’ll let him tell you about it…
“Weddings are not always happening as planned. Time ran out and we didn’t start the portrait session on time, the location I previously chose was no longer an option so we headed straight to the reception venue. Sometimes you don’t engage with the space in front of you, you are not inspired by the lines, the colors, the light but this is a job and you have to do it right. I grabbed the beautiful couple and took them down to an empty parking lot, now I was going to know what I´m made of.
I shot quite a few photos, all in front of this grey wall, all look different. I made lemonade.”

A photograph that looks amazing but also tells a story and captures an important moment in a couple’s life together is priceless.
Check out this fantastic image of Chrissy & Lindsey’s first look captured by Montreal photographer Chris Paine.
We asked Chris to tell us a little about his photo…
“First looks are possibly my favorite part of the wedding day. I love the feeling of excitement as they prepare to see each other for the first millions people time, then the big reveal which is immediately followed by a wave of emotions that just fills the room. You can’t help but be swept up in the joy that they are feeling during that moment and it fuels me for the rest of my day.”
We love the photo and thank Chris for allowing us to feature it on MTL Wedding Blog.

We love to see couples who can genuinely relax and have fun in front of the camera, so when we saw this image taken by Vatche Vick of Prizma Productions we had to find out more from the man himself.
“Lena and Yervant’s photo session was all about fun, love and joy.
They wanted to do their E-session somewhere different and beautiful therefore La Ronde was the best place in order to capture their love story.”

One of the true skills of a good wedding photographer is anticipating the action and making sure you’re in the perfect spot to capture moments as they happen. We feel this photo by Montreal wedding photographer Ashley MacPhee is a perfect example of that.
Here’s what Ashley has to say about her image..
“Anne and Jeremie are a couple that motivate everyone around them to love life and enjoy every second. The entire day they were not focused on themselves (even though the day WAS about them). Rather, their interest was directed towards family, friends and even me – their photographer making sure we were well fed, well ‘watered’ and most importantly- having fun.
I stayed long after my work was done so that I could put my camera down and party with them….at their request of course. People like these two are what it’s all about. Making connections that last long after the wedding day is over.”

We love some minimalism here at MTL Wedding Blog so today’s photo from Montreal photographer Sebastien D’Amour caught our attention immediately.
Sebastien tells us “I love this images because it’s simple and minimalist yet very powerful. The couple walks up and down the hills is a nice metaphor to what we all live in our lives.
We go through up and downs and these two awesome people decided to go through all of these together.”

Here at Montreal Wedding Blog we are starting a brand new feature – Photo Of The Day.
Here we will showcase wedding photos that truly stand out from the crowd, whether it’s a stunning portrait, amazing moment, unique detail, something amusing or just something that we love.
What better way to start than with this fantastic image from Montreal wedding photographer, Tim Chin. When all is said and done, weddings are all about people and relationships between the bride, groom and the most important people in their lives.
We asked Tim to tell us more about his photo…
“I’ve been drawn to images of grandmothers recently, having lost mine just over a month ago now. My kids are so blessed, not only to have 3 of their grandparents around, but ready and willing to love them unconditionally at a moments notice. I honestly couldn’t do what I do without their help.
The support and pride that a grandparent feels is as much a part of the celebration as the union the newlyweds share. It is of a job well done, a rite of passage and a love fully experienced.
This image is a couple years old but Dave’s grandmother is probably one of the sweetest, most affectionate old ladies I’ve ever photographed.”
